I completed both my BA and MA in Cognitive Science, and in 2022 I defended my PhD at the Laboratory of Language and Bilingualism (LangUsta) at Jagiellonian University. After earning my doctorate, I completed several research fellowships, including at the University of Oslo and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also hold an MA in Management, with a particular interest in econometrics.

My research focuses on how cognitive control changes across the adult lifespan and how factors such as contextual variability and bilingualism influence cognitive functioning. In my work, I use electroencephalography (EEG), analyzing both periodic (oscillatory) and aperiodic components to identify neural markers of control mechanisms. I have recently expanded my methodological toolkit to include optical imaging techniques (Fast Optical Imaging, PULSE-DOT), which enable the study of vascular and metabolic aspects of cognitive processing, as well as analyses of interactions between brain activity and the autonomic nervous system.
