She conducts research on the neurophysiological correlates of cognitive control, particularly response inhibition, error detection, and feedback processing. She is also interested in the influence of emotions on cognitive processes. She leads the ERPinator Lab: Laboratory for Research on Cognition, Emotion and Action.
She is involved in the international research initiative #EEGManyLabs, which aims to replicate dozens of classic studies based on EEG signal analysis. She also serves as a member of the Management Committee of the COST Action EEG101: Fundamentals of Open & Rigorous EEG Science.
She is a member of the European Society for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (ESCAN), the International Organization of Psychophysiology (IOP), and the Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR). She also acts as a consulting editor for the journal Cortex.
She directed the Ministry of Science and Higher Education investment grant 6380/IA/158/2013 (1,195,000 PLN), dedicated to establishing the Laboratory of Neurocognitive Processes at the Faculty of Philosophy, Jagiellonian University.
