The goal of the group is to develop a philosophical research program of analyzing contents and structures of sensory experiences by using ontological frameworks. Specifically, within the grant project 'Ontology of Multisensory Unification', the group investigates the spatiotemporal structures, compositional principles, and individuation principles present in multisensory experiences by applying ontological notions regarding mereotopology, individuation, and dependency. The goal of the project is to formulate an empirically informed, ontological model of the relations between unimodal and multisensory experiential structures.
