Multimodal Integration and Interaction Lab

The Multimodal Integration and Interaction Lab (MiiL) is a research facility within the Centre for Cognitive Science at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. Established in 2023, the lab investigates human cognition, behaviour, and psychophysiology through innovative use of multimodal technologies.

Our mission is to employ psychophysiological measures in sync, including eye trackers, fNIRS (functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy), EEG (Electroencephalography), and physiological sensors to study various aspects of human cognition.
The multimodal interaction scenarios we develop aim to study the interaction between human brain, body, and the environment.

Our recent work has focused on the synchronous use of fNIRS and EEG devices, as well as the integration of multiple eye trackers in a series of social presence experiments. We have recently received NCN OPUS 27 funding for an innovative project, Investigation of Social Modulations of Gaze by Dual Eye Tracking.
